Aleutians

Layout:

Larger and more detailed islands than currently seen in game or previous DLC.

Icy, rocky environment, inspired by Aleutian Islands landscapes.

Weather:

Beautifully clear midday sunshine.

Game Modes

Island Capture:

Action-oriented gameplay emphasising the use of battleships and sporting the biggest islands seen in the game so far.

Competitive:

A Japanese carrier and enemy cargo ships are heading through an area controlled by US planes. Your task is to stop those cargos and their carrier escort.

Heavy submarine oriented action.

Siege:

The Americans next target for their amphibious attacks is an island with great industrial capacity. The Japanese are able to deploy cruisers while they have the Supply Depot and the Oil Refinery. If the US destroys the Defense Control Center the landings will begin. Allied players have to disable the enmy headquarters, whilst the Japanese players must thwart this attempt.

Escort:

Japanese battleships are carrying out a bombardment of a group of American island bases. The US must destroy the enemy battleships whilst the Japanese players have to protect the battleships and allow them to carry out their objective.

Duel:

Fiercely battle along the southwest side of the huge main island.

No, the CP will not be increased with this map. The units shown are being used for demonstration purposes only. Same goes for the pic they showed us for Volcano.

i think im saving my points until a better game mode is made, im not going to pay a third time just for more IC maps. maybe if the carriers were the winning objective but its obviously not because its island capture. more of the same for me just different looks. Volcano was exciting for a couple games for the novelty factor i guess but then disapointingly it just had the same simple strategy as all the other IC maps. give me something you actually have to think about and ACTUALLY use strategy. and make losing a unit actually mean something.

It's pretty cool, but the competitive has a little too many tankers, in IC the Japanese only spawn Fusos which is real annoying and hard. I haven't tried siege, duel, or escort yet, I will soon

This is a difficult map, but the best combination on island capture is simply this:

Fighter: Shinden or Corsair
Dive Bomber: Nakajima Kikka or Hell Diver
Torpedo bomber: Jill or TBM-3 Avenger
Level Bomber: Ohka Carrier or B-25 Mitchel
Destroyer: Allen M. Sumner or any other japonese destroyer
Cruiser: Clevand or Takao
Battleship: Iowa or Super Yamato
