Awsome its good to see that there will be some carrier battles coming very soon, im sure they'll be epic. Just one question though, are we gonna see any new carriers like the Essex? Plz add the Essex at least and just to balance it out maybe the Shokaku class for the Japanese...

The maps have to be huge and the aircraft have to operate with reload=off, otherwise it will not be a good replication of carrier warfare. Carriers do not do that well in confined spaces, they like lots of ocean to get lost in, then often whoever finds the other first gets in first shot by airstrike and can win. The difficulty besides this mutual search is the management of the aircraft. Then of course there is usually an objective, some place you have to capture or neutralise at the same time.

How about this for an idea to make carrier battles different to Island Capture:

1) Give each team 1200 command points at the start, but once spent, thats it.

2) Turn on carrier stock limits as per the single player and divide these up between players.

3) Battle it out until all enemy units are destroyed/surrendered.

Forgive me as I have not played BS Midway, but would the above make BSP more similar to BSM and an enjoyable alternative mode?

I put forward an idea very like that on the old Midway forums, the main difference was that there was a main HQ at each end of the map, and if you knocked this out the game ended. This was so you didn't have to chase down every little PT boat. The other important difference was that you could buy airfields before the start, with a limit of 4 and positioned next to the main base, and these would then act like they did in Midway, with a set number of slots and a limit on how many planes could be spawned.

I do love the DLC content, i just wish some of the games issues would be fixed.

I love the way the first add-on was just enough over 500 points that you actually had to pay for 1000 points to get it, and this new pack is priced perfectly so that all three add-ons are a measly 20 points over 1500, so you have to pay for a full 2000 to get them.

I've got to hand it to Microsoft, they're GENIUSES at ripping people off.

Eidos is guilty by association, if for no other reason.
